About

Our Story

A Mindfulness Space was created by a psychiatrist, mindfulness teacher, and yoga instructor from Puerto Rico with over 10 years of experience in mental health care. Rooted in the belief that healing should be compassionate, integrative, and accessible, this space brings together evidence-based psychiatry, mindfulness, and movement to support the well-being of both individuals and providers.

Over the years, we’ve seen how powerful it can be to blend science with presence- to sit with discomfort, to breathe through uncertainty, and to create space for growth. These practices are not just tools, they are ways of returning home to ourselves.

This platform was born from a desire to share those tools freely and openly. We also recognize the importance of cultural connection and representation in healing spaces. That’s why part of our mission is to provide mindfulness and mental health resources in Spanish, supporting the Hispanic and Latinx community with language-accessible care.

Whether you’re exploring mindfulness for the first time, looking for trusted guidance on medication, or supporting others in your work as a provider, we’re glad you’re here. May this space offer moments of reflection, stillness, and support along your path.

Our Mission

Closing the gap between knowledge and real-world clinical practice

A Mindfulness Space was created to support clinicians who want to deliver thoughtful, evidence-based, and human-centered care—but often lack practical guidance on how to do so within real systems.

What Makes This Different

Deep understanding of integrated care models
We work within and teach:
* Collaborative Care (CoCM)
* Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH)

Practical, usable education
Not theory-heavy. Not abstract.
Everything is designed to be immediately applicable in your clinical day.

Active clinical expertise
This work is grounded in real, ongoing clinical practice—not just academic knowledge.

Mindfulness-informed care
We uniquely integrate mindfulness into:
– Clinical decision-making
– Patient interactions
